About

I am a Minhwa artist based in San Francisco, CA.

My practice is rooted in a vibrant Korean folk painting tradition with centuries of cultural history. Using historical techniques and materials, I explore what this ancient imagery has to say to the present moment, finding meaning that still resonates today. I approach Minhwa as a living tradition, one that remains relevant to contemporary life.
